What is the street address?
We have a rural route postal address.  A conventional street mailing address is not available.  Central check-in is located on Buttermilk Falls Road, near the River Road intersection, in Shawnee on Delaware, PA 18356.  **Note – Directions provided on MapQuest are incorrect.  Please click here for accurate directions and an accurate map from MapPoint.

What amenities are available?

What time is check-in/checkout?
Check-in – 4:00 PM on the first day of your interval
Checkout – 9:00 AM on the last day of your interval

Why is checkout time so early?
Hundreds of units exist throughout various locations on the property.  The Housekeeping department requires sufficient time to prepare all units for the next occupant.

Is Internet Service in my villa?

How can I get to New York City from Shawnee?
If you are driving, the George Washington Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel and Holland Tunnel are each approximately 75 miles from our resort.

If you prefer to take a train, please visit www.nj.com/njtransit/morris.html to get a train schedule from New Jersey to New York City or Hoboken.  The closest station would be Dover, New Jersey, which is approximately 40 miles East on route 80 from Shawnee on Delaware, PA.

You can also visit www.nj.com/njtransit/ferry.html for information on the ferry that runs from Hoboken, NJ to Manhattan.

If you prefer to travel by bus, there are frequent busses available at the Martz Trailways station in Delaware Water Gap, which is a five-minute drive from the resort.  You can view their schedules and rates at www.martztrailways.com.

In addition, our Activities Department hosts a weekly bus trip to New York City. 

Where can I get NYC tourism information?
For information on what to do once you get to New York, visit www.nyctourist.com, the official web site for NYC Tourism.  They offer all sorts of maps, tourist guides, subway schedules, and other information for New York City visitors.

Can we bring our pet on vacation with us?
Sorry, no.  Unfortunately the associations have adopted a strict NO PET policy.  Click here for a detailed description of the Pet Policy and a list of quality kennels in the area. 

What are your regulations for children in your pools?
Children are required to be accompanied by an adult in the pool area.  Bathing suits must be worn.  Also, no non-regulation floatation devices are permitted in the pools.  We do not provide pool towels so you should bring your own.

How can we take canoe/rafting/tubing trips?
Canoe trips are run from the River Adventure canoe basin at the Shawnee Inn. They can be reached at 570-424-4000 or through www.shawneeinn.com. The river recreation season generally opens Memorial Day weekend.  Several other canoe and rafting companies are located nearby within a very short drive:

Are bedding and linens included in my unit?
Yes, all bedding, linens, and towels are included in every unit.  We do ask that if you plan to use the indoor pool, you bring beach towels with you, since we do not provide towels at our pools.

Do you have a babysitting service?
Babysitting is available for children aged 1-12 – Reservations are required.  The location is at the Shawnee Sales Center, at the bottom of Buttermilk Falls Road.  Hours are Thursday thru Tuesday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and the cost is $3 per hour for first child, $2 for each additional child.

Shawnee Mountain also provides childcare and has a very highly rated skiing program for small children called Ski-Wee.  Children must be 3 years of age or older to participate in that program.  You can visit their Web site at www.shawneemt.com for more information on their programs and facilities.

Where should we stay if we can’t walk up and down steps, need a first floor bed/bath, or need handicap accessibility?
Limited "handicap friendly" accommodations are available on Shawnee Village property.  If you are confirmed into a villa that has multiple steps or other features that will make you or one of your guests uncomfortable during your stay, you can contact the Resident Services office via e-mail or by telephone at (570) 421-1500 extension 1455.  Explain your needs to one of the staff members, and they will give you information on alternate accommodations that may be more suitable for you.  We cannot guarantee availability of alternate accommodations as the number of these types of accommodations are limited, so please notify Resident Services as soon as you know there may be a conflict.

What day of the week do I check-in?
NorthSlope Quarter Shares check in on FRIDAY
Fairway, DePuy, River 1 and River 2 check in on SATURDAY
Ridge Top and Ridge Top Summit check in on SUNDAY

I am assigned a Saturday or Sunday check-in, but my plane arrives on Friday.  How can I get an extra night’s accommodations?

Where on your property is my unit located?
You will receive a site map with your check-in packet, when you arrive on property.  If you want to view a basic layout of the various villages online, click here.
